Getting the perfect panoramic photo that is transformed into a canvas gallery wrap makes decorating walls of your home, office or business easy.

We have been taking photos around the Sacramento area for 25 years, always trying to getting that “perfect shot.” We also enjoy taking photos while vacationing and sharing them with our friends and family.

We’ve been very interested in the panorama photos we have seen, so that was our next goal:  learn to take high-quality panorama images. We started researching the topic on the internet and found only a few cameras made for this purpose. We then found the GigaPan website just as they were about to release the EPIC Pro system for DSLR cameras. After reading the information, we decided this was the way to go, since it will allow us to use all the features of the Canon 40D DSLR body and lens we already had to create the panorama images.

We started using the EPIC Pro and found the results to be fantastic! Each image is composed of 15-120, 10.1 mega-pixel photos that are stitched into the extremely large panorama. Depending on the amount of zoom and the size of the scene you want to shoot, it will take anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes per image.

Just like in single-shot photography, you have to be willing to spend time to get the shot. The next step is using the GigaPan Stitch software to create the panorama image. This takes around 20-40 minutes, depending on your computer’s speed and memory (the more the better!). There is definitely a learning curve involved to get the final image stitched correctly. As you can see, the results are very impressive, and now it is time to share the work with others through our website.

We hope you enjoy the images. If you have a place for a large panorama Gallery Wrap or print, this is the place to get it.
